Judging by the large number of emails and phone calls I’m getting, there's a tremendous amount of interest and excitement surrounding the re-release of the Little Country Tube Preamp / Headphone Amp. My "Let me know as soon as its available" list has grown to well over 100 people. This week I received an update from Firestone Audio letting me know the NEW Little Country III is scheduled for release at the end of March. So the wait is almost over. We'll have the new Little Country in stock as soon as they become available.
The LCIII is quite different from its Predecessor; the double-decker main unit now houses the audio section on top with with twin 6922 tubes. A new power conditioning section occupies the entire bottom half of the main uint. The power supply needed to be moved to a third, totally separate unit.
A little over a month ago I was lucky enough to receive a LCIII prototype from Firestone and have been loving it with the Firestone 6V6 monoblocks everyday since. (more on the Mono Blocks later).
So as a little teaser I thought I'd post a few pictures of the prototype. Keep in mind this is a prototype so its not as "cosmetically correct" as the finished production version.
